The Diablotins held their own against Paris SG at Diochon for a long time, but ultimately lost by a heavy score to the stronger side. Their run ended in the round of 32 of the Gambardella Cup.

The Diablotins were caught cold at Diochon with an early goal from the Parisians (0-1, 6′). But despite this setback, Rouen responded well. Their good intentions were rewarded before the half-hour mark, following a fine move down the left that was finished off with a header by Kerem Tozlu (1-1, 26′). Paris, who had had chances to take a 2-0 lead but were denied by Teixeira (17′, 24′), finally scored a second goal before the break (1-2, 39′) to lead at halftime, after a shot off target a few minutes earlier (36′).

After the break, PSG came back strong and, after a big chance missed (46′), a fine save by Teixeira (48′) and a goal-line clearance by Ribeiro (51′), the Parisians scored a third goal (1-3, 53′). The Diablotins tried to respond with attempts from Kigni (61′) and Liberge (69′), but both shots were saved by the Parisian goalkeeper. Liberge was sent off a few minutes later for a second yellow card (71′). Rouen were reduced to nine men after Kigni received a straight red card (77′) in a scuffle. A Parisian player was also sent off. At the end of the game, Paris added three more goals to win by five goals (1-4, 82′; 1-5, 87′; 1-6, 89′).

Rouen is eliminated in the round of 32 of the Coupe Gambardella. Congratulations to the players and staff for their performance. Now it’s time to focus on the league.
