FC Rouen was eliminated in the 32nd round of the Coupe de France by Lille. FCR did not disgrace itself and showed a very good image against a Ligue 1 bigwig.
Rouen was eliminated from the Coupe de France in the 32nd round and came out of the competition with its head held high, beaten by a goal by Lille.
LOSC scored the only goal in the first half, a half that Lille dominated. On a great team move, Ismaily opened the scoring (0-1, 21′). Before that, Maraval had delayed the deadline while Letono had missed the target on a service from Mbock.
Trailing on the scoreboard, the Red Devils resisted until the break, with a post notably found by David before the return to the locker room.
After the break, FCR tried to come back, had chances, but never managed to find the fault, due to a lack of precision in the last move or the last pass. LOSC thus kept its goal lead, despite the good face shown by the Red Devils and the more numerous highlights than before half-time.
Rouen falls against a Ligue 1 and leaves the Coupe de France with its head held high.
