Supported by a large crowd at Dasnias, Rouen were unable to break down FC Dieppe in this sixth preseason match.
After a first quarter of an hour with chances for both teams, the first real opportunity fell to Rouen. Well served by Ait Moujane in the box, Gerbeaud first ran into Lefebvre and then missed the target from a tight angle (18′). The rest of the first half was evenly balanced. The Red Devils had possession, but neither team created any chances.
After the break, Temperton made a good save to deflect the first shot of the second half. Shortly after, Gerbeaud saw Lefebvre block his attempt again after a very good run behind the defense (53′). The last half hour was marked by numerous substitutions on both sides, including eight substitutions for Rouen in three stages. There were few chances, except at the end of the game when a fine move by Rouen put Ba-Sy in a shooting position, but Lefebvre was again on hand to save (89′). The score remained goalless until the final whistle, a second draw for FCR during their preseason preparations.
For this penultimate match before the start of the championship, ahead of the final fixture in Oissel on Tuesday, the Red Devils were supported by a superb crowd of around 450 fans!
