A late victory against Avranches

At the end of a closely fought match against Avranches, FC Rouen won its fourth preseason game with a late goal.

After early chances for Avranches, Rouen responded with two attempts from Tilliez, but failed to find the net. The score remained goalless at halftime. It stayed that way for a long time after the break, with Royes saving Rouen’s goal twice early in the second half.

The Red Devils, with Tilliez and Rocha, also struggled to get past the goalkeeper. Finally, with four minutes to go, Titebah took a shot with his left foot from 20 meters out. His slightly deflected shot beat the goalkeeper (1-0, 86′).

Thanks to this goal, FCR recorded their fourth win of the summer in five games, following a draw against Laval two days ago. Their next match is against another Normandy club in the National division, FC Dieppe, next Friday.
