FCR deserved better in Concarneau

The Red Devils came away from Concarneau with a point. A fourth consecutive game without defeat, but the FCR would have deserved better at Guy Piriou.

Despite a good first half, the Red Devils were trailing at the break. Although the Rouennais had a good bite and were well organized defensively, they had few chances offensively. At the end of the first period, Concarnois put their foot on the gas pedal and Soukouna opened the scoring (1-0, 44′). A goal scored in USC’s only moment of strength of the match.

After the break, FCR regained control. The Red Devils’ shots were coming thick and fast. However, the goal often eluded them, and Salles pulled out all the stops in front of Mion. Finally, Rouennais equalised late on thanks to Diawoye Diarra, his fourth goal for the club, from a penalty (1-1, 84′).

The FCR would have deserved better, but another good performance and a fourth consecutive game without defeat.
