FCR brings home a point from Aubagne

National

5 December 2025

Playing ten against eleven for most of the match, the Red Devils put in a very good performance in Aubagne. A fine display of character and a point earned for FCR.

On their longest trip of the season, the Red Devils got off to a good start. The first twenty minutes were good, with solid play and a few chances. But the first real opportunity was for Aubagne. Temperton made a save in the six-yard box (24′). Shortly after, Mendy was sent off (25′). Despite being a man down, the Red Devils were still in the game and remained the more dangerous side. Rouen were rewarded before the break. Abi scored after a fine move on the left between Cartillier and Ba-Sy, who provided the assist (1-0, 41′). The score remained in FCR’s favor at the break, despite a last-gasp chance for SCAAB from a free kick (45+3′).

However, after the break, Hamek found the net from the penalty spot (1-1, 54′). Rouen got back into the game and created another big chance. Cartillier’s powerful shot was denied by the bar, then Abi missed the target with a header (69′). Bouzamoucha’s header from close range was deflected by Gil (90′). The Red Devils were unable to find the net a second time. FCR took a point from Aubagne after a good performance, playing most of the game with 10 men against 11, for a ninth consecutive game without defeat in the National.
