Rouen’s French Cup debut was a success. FC Rouen were serious about winning and qualifying in Deauville.
The team from Rouen made a successful start to their French Cup campaign. In all seriousness, and in fine style. The Red Devils were solid throughout the match, conceding no chances to the Deauvillais and finding the net on three occasions.
FCR logically went into the locker room with a one-goal lead. There were plenty of chances for the Rouennais, particularly for Mbock. The Rouen striker turned provider before the break from a corner. Aït Moujane opened the scoring with a fine volley (0-1, 43′)!
After the break, Rouennais continued to control proceedings. Diarra doubled the lead with a close-range finish from a Ferrah cross (0-2, 68′). At the end of the match, Bezzekhami scored a superb goal from 20 meters out with a low shot (0-3, 83′).
FCR qualify for the sixth round of the Coupe de France
