Charles Abi spoke at a press conference before the match against Bourg Péronnas.

FCR secured a great victory against Boulogne. How do you feel about that match?

CA: We had good team spirit in this match. We had instructions that we followed well during the match. That allowed us to get a good result. We know we are capable of both the best and the worst. It’s been more complicated in recent weeks. We were determined to get back to winning ways for ourselves and the fans.

Rouen will now be looking to get back to winning ways at home, in front of our fans.

CA: They are there every time we travel. We have to thank them. It would also be important from a points perspective to keep the momentum going.

You have already scored six goals for the club. How do you feel in Rouen?

CA: I’ve been welcomed by the players, the staff, and the fans. I think that shows on the field. If I’ve scored six goals, it’s also thanks to that. I didn’t score them all by myself. It’s the result of teamwork. I’m happy to have already scored those six goals, and I hope to score as many as possible.

In addition to these goals, you also run a lot and don’t hold back on your efforts.

CA: That’s my style of play. It comes naturally to me. That must also be one of the reasons why the coach wanted me. I try to run for the team, make the effort, and then be rewarded with goals.
