Following the incidents that occurred during the National League match between FC Rouen and SM Caen, played on March 27 at Robert-Diochon Stadium, and after hearing testimony from our club officials, the Disciplinary Committee has reached its decision.
FC Rouen has been sanctioned for the following offenses:
• Use of pyrotechnics by certain supporters, resulting in temporary interruptions of the match,
• Throwing of firecrackers and objects onto the field.
As a result, the club has been hit with a hefty fine, in addition to those already imposed following away matches in Orléans, Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas, and Paris 13 Atletico.
The club deeply regrets these incidents, which stem from isolated acts of misconduct; it does not condone them under any circumstances, regardless of the situation, and reminds its supporters of the importance of exemplary behavior at all times as the season draws to a close.
While your support is an essential source of strength, a source of pride, and a major part of our identity, it must be expressed in full compliance with current regulations and with respect for everyone’s safety.
FC Rouen is convinced that it is possible to combine popular enthusiasm with responsibility, passion with respect.
Isolated acts can penalize the entire club. We are counting on everyone to continue to proudly represent our colors in an irreproachable spirit.
