Ten years later, FC Rouen is back in the National league!
The FCR’s 2022-2023 season got off to an epic start with a last-minute victory against Beauvais. This was already symbolic of a season full of excitement and crazy scenarios for the Red Devils, such as their 4-3 victory against Caen (B) at Diochon!
FC Rouen quickly established itself among the top teams, holding off Racing CF in a frenzied atmosphere at Diochon and spending Christmas as league leaders. After the break, FCR stayed on course and entered the final sprint and the return match against Racing CF in the lead.
Rouen took a point against their direct rivals and then scored two wins against Vannes and Evreux. The latter secured the championship title for FCR. There were exceptional celebrations when the players and staff returned from Eure, then a week later for the last match of the season at Diochon against Chartres.
The following year, ten years after joining the National league, the Red Devils had a very successful season, both in the league and in the Coupe de France!
