Superb Red Devils victory over Châteauroux

20 September 2024

FCR put on a show against Châteauroux at Diochon. A spectacular win for the Red Devils, their first of the season.

After two last-gasp draws, FCR secured their first win of the season. And what a win it was! A match mastered by the Red Devils for a richly deserved victory. Rouen’s players were impressive. The goals were just as impressive.

On the first, Diawoye Diarra rounded off a magnificent move initiated by Ferrah and continued by a fine assist from Mion! (1-0, 14′). For the second, Benkaid converted Ferrah’s penalty (2-0, 33′). Before the break, Bassin scored superbly from outside the box after a sublime pass from Benkaid (3-0, 43′). Finally, in the second half, Aït Moujane put the defense to the sword with a magnificent sequence before finishing well! (4-0, 72′)!

Four goals scored and the total could have been even higher, with chances for Mion, Ferrah and Letono in particular. At the other end, Rouen’s goal remained inviolate thanks to a very good Maraval, who was solid on the line on several occasions.

With this big win, the victory meter is now running!
