After going three games unbeaten, FCR lost at Châteauroux. The Red Devils lacked cutting edge and bite throughout the match.
After going three games unbeaten, FCR fell at Châteauroux, only for Castelroussin to score late in the first half. The first half was a tight affair. The Red Devils held on to the ball a lot, but Konaté gave them too little to worry about. Rouen’s attacks lacked cutting edge and, apart from a few crosses (10′, 29′, 30′), FCR failed to create any real chances. Finally, in added time of this first half, Rouen was punished by Versini, thrown in deep (1-0, 45+3′).
After the break, it was the same old story. Rouen continued to have the ball. A few crosses led to chances (54′, 60′, 61′), but there was too little danger on Konaté’s goal. However, the Red Devils could have equalized in injury time. Mbock struck a perfect free-kick which flew into the top corner. Konaté flew in and deflected (95′). FCR went down to defeat.
