Rouen and Concarneau draw

National

21 November 2025

FCR was held to a draw by Concarneau at Diochon. One point for a continuing unbeaten streak.

In freezing cold conditions, Rouen started the game strongly and looked dangerous early on. Alone in the six-yard box, Ba-Sy met a powerful cross from Bassin with his shin but failed to hit the target (5′). Concarneau responded with a long-range shot from Sinquin, which was fortunately saved by Temperton’s crossbar (10′). After that? Not much else happened on either side. Both defenses were solid and didn’t give the opposing attacks any chances.

After the break, as in the first half, the Red Devils quickly made their presence felt. Served by Abi and well positioned in the box, Benzia missed the target (48′). Fuss was denied by Viot (75′), while Ba-Sy’s attempt, after a fine move, was deflected (79′). In the meantime, Gbelle was sent off on the hour mark (69′). With a numerical advantage, Rouen had numerous corners, free kicks, and crosses. There were no chances from set pieces until the final corner. Viot deflected a shot from Egny and Halby Touré saved Rocha’s shot on the line (95′). These two saves kept Concarneau’s goal intact… The referee blew the whistle immediately after a final long-range attempt by Egny. FCR’s unbeaten run now stands at eight games, with six wins and two draws.
