FCR take a point from Nîmes

FCR would have deserved better in Nîmes, but concede a last-gasp draw to NO on a penalty kick.

For their second trip of the season, their second in the South, FCR once again let points slip away at the end… Camara equalized after a contentious penalty (2-2, 90′). This was the second penalty to level the scores, following the one converted by Abdeldjelil at the end of the first half (1-1, 36′).

A cruel scenario for Rouennais, who deserved better on their trip to the Antonins stadium. FCR took an early lead in each half. In the first half, after Mbock’s corner had been cleared, Benkaid struck a half-volley at the far post and found the net (0-1, 14′)! After the break, Ferrah’s free-kick was pushed back against the upright, but Bassin followed suit and pushed the ball home (1-2, 51′)! Rouennais held on to their advantage for a long time… until a penalty was whistled for a questionable hand…
