Trailing by two goals at the break, FCR responded in the second half to take a point against Le Mans. The unbeaten run continues.
What a finish! The madness at Diochon once again took its toll on Friday evening. The Red Devils came back from two goals down in the last quarter of an hour to beat Le Mans, who were leading by two goals at the break.
Vula scored twice, both times lying in wait in the box (25′, 45+4′). FCR could have pulled a goal back in the wake of the first, but Benkaid fell on Kocik for a penalty. On the counter-attack, the score could have gone the other way with a post and then a bar found by Le Mans.
At half-time, FCR were two goals down, having had the ball, several crosses and corners. But there was no real chance after the penalty.
What happened after half-time? FCR continued to have the ball, bringing the ball into the box from crosses. Benkaid in particular missed the target with a header, while Mbock’s effort was saved on the line. In the end, both players were to score. Mbock reduced the deficit with a penalty (1-2, 77′). Benkaid crucified Kocik one-on-one (2-2, 87′). In the end, FCR took a point and continued their unbeaten run.
