The Red Devils lost to Versailles at Diochon. Rouen conceded three goals before pulling one back late in the match.

After an even start, Rouen had the first shots of the game, with Ba-Sy’s effort saved and Benzia’s shot going over the bar (8’, 9’). Versailles’ attempts by Guillaume (17’) and then Odzoumo (29’) also missed the target. In the meantime, Fuss’s shot was saved after some good work by Bezzekhami (20’). Finally, just before halftime, Kalai opened the scoring (0-1, 44’). Shortly after, Ba-Sy forced Yavorsky into two saves in one minute (45′, 45+1′), but the Versailles net remained untouched.

After the break, with two substitutes (Seydi and Goprou) and a change in formation, the Red Devils quickly created danger. Faye’s header went just over (47’), as did Seydi’s (58’). Another header by Bassin forced Yavorsky into a save (65’). The FCR then earned numerous corner kicks. But the Rouen side couldn’t find the net. Versailles, on the other hand, doubled their lead through Kabamba (0-2, 71′). On the next play, Cartillier’s header was caught by the FCV goalkeeper (72′), before Versailles scored a third goal through Ouchen (0-3, 75′). Play was stopped almost immediately afterward due to incidents in the stands. It resumed about ten minutes later, and Bassin narrowed the gap right after the restart (1-3, 79′). That was the final goal of a match that ended with a two-goal defeat for Rouen. On the final matchday, the Red Devils will face a must-win match against Fleury next week to secure a spot in the playoffs.
