An unimaginable defeat for FCR against Aubagne

An unimaginable defeat for FCR against Aubagne

National

24 January 2025

FCR tried hard. Shots, crosses, but nothing came of it for the Red Devils, who lost to Aubagne.

Trailing early on after a goal from Khetir (0-1, 4′), the Red Devils reacted, tried hard and found the bar through new signing Abi, but were unable to equalise. Shots either missed the target or fell into Gil’s gloves. And when the net did tremble for FCR, with Benkaid the fox in the six-yard box, he was flagged offside…

After the break, FCR continued to try, even down a man after Sanson was shown a straight red. There were crosses and shots, but nothing happened. The goal was evaded, an Aubagne defender stepped in to counter or Gil parried. At the other end, Aubagne brought the danger on the counter-attack, but Maraval was on hand to keep out Nsimba’s penalty.

Unfortunately, the score remained one goal in favour of Aubagne. The FCR lost at Diochon.
