A Convincing and Commanding Victory for FCR Against Quevilly

FCR earned a well-deserved victory against Quevilly. Dominating the match, the Red Devils put on a strong performance, highlighted by three goals and another shutout.

FCR quickly took control of the ball. Huddled in their own half, the Quevilly players left possession to the Red Devils. Sommer tried his luck from outside the box, but his shot went wide (12′). A minute later, off a perfect cross from Bassin, Tchokounté found the back of the net with a powerful header (1-0, 13′). After this strong start by FCR, which was rewarded with a goal, the match evened out. Quevilly pushed forward a bit more, without posing much of a threat. The same could not be said for Rouen. After being fouled in the box, Tramoni switched to his left foot and fired the ball into the top corner of Sillistrie’s net (2-0, 34′). Quevilly created their first chance before halftime, with Capuano narrowly missing the target from the edge of the box (41′). But the last chance of the first half belonged to Rouen. Bassin took a shot from 25 meters out, but the ball sailed over the crossbar (45′).

After the break, Maraval made a magnificent save to prevent the deficit from narrowing on a header (49′). Well-positioned, Capuano missed his shot from six meters out (60′). Meanwhile, following a sublime team move, Karamoko’s header hit the post. On the rebound, Sommer missed the target (57′). After hitting the post, Karamoko’s shot was then denied by the crossbar (64′). Shortly after, Seck missed the target from inside the box (65′). The FCR then created another opportunity. Karamoko set up Tramoni, whose powerful right-footed shot was saved by the goalkeeper (70′). With five minutes left in the match, Traoré sealed the victory with a low shot from 20 meters (3-0, 85′)! One, two, three to zero! The final score was clear-cut and well-deserved for the Red Devils.
