Press Release - FC Rouen

Club

28 May 2026

Following the incidents that occurred during the National League matches between FC Rouen and FC Versailles, and then between FC Rouen and FC Fleury, and after hearing testimony from our club officials, the Disciplinary Committee has issued its ruling.

FC Rouen has been sanctioned for the following incidents:
• Use of pyrotechnics by certain fans
• Throwing of objects (seats) by its supporters onto the field, resulting in the suspension of the match

As a result, the club has been assessed a hefty fine. In addition, a one-match closure of the Zénith stand was imposed: although initially suspended following the match against Versailles, this sanction was revoked after the away game in Fleury. This sanction will take effect for the first match at our Diochon Stadium during the 2026–2027 season.

The club deeply regrets these incidents, which stemmed from isolated instances of misconduct; it does not condone such behavior under any circumstances, and reminds its fans of the importance of exemplary conduct at all times.
