FCR signed its second victory of the season in National against Boulogne. Hicham Benkaid, exceptional, scored a hat-trick.
A victory that feels good. A second success this season. Three points that took a while to get into Rouen’s pocket, but FCR got back to winning ways in the championship this Friday against Boulogne.
The first half was rather closed. The shots of both teams were far away. But two situations ended in the back of the net. Epailly opened the score (0-1, 23′). The reaction was immediate. Well found in the area, Hicham Benkaid mystified a defender and the goalkeeper before finding the net and equalizing in the process (1-1, 25′). The break was whistled on this parity score.
After the break, Rouen had more opportunities than their opponents. The frame often slipped away, the crosses lacked precision or Pandor was present on his line.
Finally, the release came from one man: Hicham Benkaid. With a header from a Bassin cross (2-1, 84′) then a lob from elsewhere from 40 meters (3-1, 90′), our attacker scored a hat-trick and gave FCR the victory. The second of the season in National.
