A point for FCR in Dijon

A point for FCR in Dijon

Away at Gaston-Gérard, FCR put in a consistent performance against Dijon and came away with a deserved point.

Surprised early on by DFCO and Barka (1-0, 2′), the Red Devils responded well and equalized thanks to Kenny Rocha! Our midfielder beat Delecroix with a perfectly struck penalty (1-1, 21′). One goal each and total realism for both teams with little to report for 40 minutes, despite good spells of play on both sides. At the end of the first half, however, DFCO took the upper hand. Temperton made saves (39′, 45+3′) and was helped by his post (44′).

After the break, although Dijon had more control, FCR had more chances with corners and crosses. Gerbeaud, who was dangerous in the box early in the period, came closest to scoring, but his shot was deflected wide by the outside of the post (48′). At the end of the match, following a nice three-way play between substitutes (Ba-Sy, Egny, and Bezzekhami), our number 8 shot over the bar (89′).

No goals were scored in the second half. FCR came away with a point from their trip to Burgundy.
