FC Rouen lost to Quevilly at Diochon. Rouen dominated, particularly in the second half, but were unable to overcome an effective Quevilly side.

Quevilly took an early lead in the match. Fortuné took advantage of a misunderstanding in the defense to score (0-1, 6′). Rouen had already had a good chance to open the scoring through Benkaid (2′), then Goprou missed the equalizer with a shot that was cleared off the line by a defender (13′). Bassin, meanwhile, failed to get his header on target from a Benkaid free kick (30′).

Quevilly doubled their lead through Fortuné (0-2, 34′). Shortly after, FCR had more chances. Abi shot over the bar (34′) and, more importantly, Benkaid missed the target from the penalty spot (41′)… Cissé, who committed the foul, was shown a red card for a second yellow.

After the break, FCR laid siege to the opposition’s goal. Crosses and corners followed one after another. Bonnevie saved attempts from Ferrah (52′), Abi (80′), Mion (85′) and Benkaid (94′). However, scoring opportunities were few and far between, even with 11 against 9 after Jarju was sent off (73′) for a dangerous tackle that forced Bassin to leave the field.

Abi managed to reduce the deficit (1-2, 95′), but it was not enough. FCR lost the match.
