FCR kept their goal intact to earn a point against Dijon. The Rouennais were solid defensively, but lacking in attacking vision.
A draw, no goals for either side, and a point for FCR against Dijon.
In the first half, DFCO had a few chances, notably with shots from outside the box, but nothing very dangerous. Royes stepped up to the plate (2′,19′). FCR’s best chance came a few minutes before the half-hour mark, when Benkaid’s shot was blocked and Bezzekhami shot over (27′). The goalless draw at half-time was therefore rather logical.
After the break, Rouennais were more enterprising. Letono, who came on at half-time, quickly made his mark, but shot just wide (47′). Goprou also missed the target (54′). The Red Devils also tried to create danger from crosses. Then the wind died down and Dijon regained the upper hand. In particular, the visitors had a chance with a poorly managed numerical superiority counter-attack (65′). Then, above all, they missed a penalty when Vargas Rios hit the post after Royes had gone the wrong way (76′).
With the score unchanged, FCR picked up a good point against Dijon and put an end to their two consecutive defeats.
