Ahead at half-time in Bonal, FC Rouen conceded two second-half goals to lose at Sochaux.
Rouen suffered their second defeat in a row after losing at Bonal this evening. Les Rouennais were stunned, conceding two late goals through Durbant to equalize from the penalty spot (1-1, 73′) and then through Lecolier (2-1, 84′). FCR were punished after leading for almost an hour.
Rouen enjoyed a good first hour and took the lead thanks to Benkaid, who finished perfectly after a superb Ferrah rush (0-1, 34′). Rouen’s defence was solid and conceded no real chances. Efficient and serious, FCR returned to the locker room with this lead.
This advantage held for another 25 minutes after the break, with Royes turning away a one-on-one (53′). At the other end, two strong crosses from Benkaid and Goprou into the six-yard box could have created chances, but no one was on hand to take them. In the end, Sochaux equalised from the penalty spot before taking the lead late on. Rouennais then tried their utmost. But to no avail. FCR suffered their second defeat in a row.
