After four long seasons spent in the quagmire of the Division d’Honneur, FC Rouen has moved up to N3!

Despite a remarkable previous season, the Diables Rouges were once again condemned to DH. But under the leadership of Romain Djoubri, the 2016-2017 season marked a turning point. Buoyed by a reform of the amateur leagues and a new-found ambition, FCR entered the race for the title with determination.

The month of April was decisive: the Rouennais put in a string of good performances to regain third place, synonymous with the climb thanks to the new reform. Solid right to the end, they confirmed their place in National 3 on the penultimate day at Romilly-Pont-Saint-Pierre. What a relief for an entire club!

Players, management and loyal supporters can finally celebrate this long-awaited promotion, putting an end to four seasons of purgatory.

To cap off this fine year, FC Rouen treated itself to one last thrill by winning the tenth Coupe de Normandie in its history. A 2016-2017 season to remember!
